On December 3, the Department of Chemistry became an active participant in the career guidance event “Stefanyk Info Day”. The event brought together schoolchildren who are trying to consciously choose their future profession and teachers of the Carpathian National University.
The location of the Department of Chemistry combined spectacular experiments and serious science. Teachers and students prepared a rich program that demonstrates the versatility of chemistry.
A special emphasis was placed on environmental safety and modern technologies. As part of the grant project “Monitoring of environmental objects in the context of European integration” (supported by the EU), students had the opportunity to feel like practicing ecologists.
Participants measured air quality using express devices and also got acquainted with European practices of environmental monitoring.
We are convinced that such events not only surprise but also form a responsible attitude towards the environment in young people and demonstrate that chemistry is a science that stands guard over the ecological future of Ukraine.
